Communication through the rhythms of gamelan.
Drawing influence from a thousand islands as far away as Europe and New York, Indonesia's most prominent contemporary gamelan ensemble is world music at its finest.
String, wind and percussion instruments meet the pulsating bonang (a collection of tuned
deep gongs) and gendang (traditional drums). Led by music legend Djaduk Ferianto this
11 piece orchestra will create a night of vibrant rhythms. The fusion of traditional and
contempory Indonesian sounds will raise your spirits and transport you to far off lands.
