In a final Festival celebration The Richard Bona Group will rock the Space Theatre with an incredibly high-energy, soulful and charismatic performance.

After performing in Other Worldly Sounds, Bona will be back on stage with his full band and his unique style. Bona's music fuses great talent and experience with jazz, bossa nova, pop music, afro-beat, funk and traditional song.

There are more ways to talk about Bona than there are strings on his many guitars. His work presents a swarming mass of identities from the ancestral and ultra-contemporary Africa to Brazil's harmonies, the energy of rap to Caribbean grooves and Anglo-Saxon pop. He is lauded as one of the greatest multi- instrumentalists of the last 20 years and one of the best bass artists in the world. Bona has performed with Chaka Khan, Harry Belafonte, Tito Puente, Bob James, Mike Stern, Larry Coryell, Steve Gadd, Joni Mitchell, Harry Connick Jr and Queen Latifah.
