Flamenco performance features voice, dance and percussion, but at its heart is the guitar. This special night will star Arte Kanela, Australia's leading flamenco act and renowned flamenco guitarist Oscar Guzmán performing with Pepe de Lucía brother of the greatest flamenco guitarist of all time, Paco de Lucía.

This performance mixes the freshness and the harmonies of modern flamenco while showing developments in the traditional flamenco trilogy of guitar, dance and voice, from flamenco songs accompanied by the guitar, guitar solos and the possibilities that can be realised when the dancer, the singer and the guitar play together. Guzmán and Lucía will be joined by Adelaide's own local guest flamenco dance soloist, Roshanne Wijeyeratne.

The second half will see Arte Kanela offer a new perspective to a conventional art form. Guitarist and composer Richard Tedesco ensures their music is innovative and creative while remaining firmly rooted in traditional structures, while choreographer and principal dancer Johnny Tedesco captures the raw authentic skills of the dance. Together with Manuel Varela and Chantelle Cano, Arte Kanela create an intimate visceral connection with the audience through their extraordinary virtuosity and emotionally charged execution.
