The Dead Ones
This much anticipated solo, work-in-progress, performance is the first created by Margie Fischer since her critically acclaimed, award winning show The Gay Divorcee.
While clearing out their house after the death of everyone in her immediate family, Fischer became fascinated with what is left behind when loved ones die. Throughout this time she documented her feelings and the processes involved. The Dead Ones explores her family stories through the objects left behind. The performance format is a museum tour with Fischer as tour guide. This story telling, multi media presentation is a taste of the full work in development for 2010.
