Exciting Melbourne based company The Eleventh Hour are here in Adelaide for the first time with their award winning production of Shakespeare's remarkable, yet little known The Life and Death of King John.

Directed by Anne Thompson, Head of the Flinders Drama centre with a stellar cast including: Michaela Cantwell, Eveleyn Krape, David Treddinick and Peter Houghton, this may well be the first time this play has been performed in Adelaide.

In it three very different men compete for the crown: the 'bad' King John of English folklore, his nephew Arthur and the bastard son of the famous 'Richard the Lionheart'.
Whose right is it to rule the kingdom? The legitimate heir (which one?) - or the man best equipped for the task. And what of the thousands of underlings who must fight and die to resolve these petty dynastic disputes?
