Legendary Californian singer/songwriter - Chris Isaak - will headline one of South Australia's premier summer events - Barossa Under the Stars on Saturday March 14th, 2009 at the grounds of the Barossa Arts & Convention Centre in Tanunda.

From crooning pop to retro rock, multi-platinum seller, Chris Isaak is a man of many personas. A gifted musician with a melodious voice, he's a charmer, a class act and a consummate showman.

Isaak is also a platinum-selling artist with nine extraordinary albums, twelve singles and two Grammy nominations under his belt. His legendary shows with long-time band Silvertone have entertained tens of thousands of people for over two decades.

Known for his wonderfully-entertaining stage presence, the charismatic performer and his band of over 20 years is recognised by such classics such as 'Wicked Game', 'Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing', 'Somebody's Crying' and 'Blue Hotel.'

He is releasing his first live album "Chris Isaak Live in Australia" in mid October.

Barossa Under the Stars is a leading, world-class musical event, putting South Australia in the international spotlight. Isaak is among a host of internationally-renowned performers to grace the stage at Barossa Under the Stars including past show-stopping appearances by Jo Cocker, Shirley Bassey, Julio Iglesias, Michael Crawford, Tony Bennett, Rod Stewart, Cliff Richard, John Farnham and The Beach Boys.

Tickets for Barossa Under the Stars 2009 go on sale from Monday October 13th, 2008 - with organisers once again expecting the best seats to be snapped up extremely quickly! Those purchasing General Admission tickets are welcome to bring deck chairs and picnic blankets.

The Barossa Arts & Convention Centre in Magnolia Road, Tanunda once again makes for an ideal setting for Barossa Under the Stars and includes ample parking adjacent to the concert site. The event will again include the very popular Barossa Food & Wine Village from 2pm with entertainment, including special guests, starting late afternoon. A number of dinner and show packages will be available and the concert will commence after sunset.
