OzAsia

"The exceptional response we've had to this festival has shown how important cultural interaction is and our connection to each other within the Asian region has resonated with artists and audiences alike, attracting attention across Australia and the wider region." Jacinta Thompson, Festival Director

The Adelaide Festival Centre's OzAsia Festival was established in 2007 and is held annually in September/ October (according to the lunar calendar) for approximately ten days.

The Festival presents work by Australian artists that identify with an Asian heritage, stages collaborative work between Australian and Asian artists, and presents a cross section of traditional and contemporary cultures of Asia. In 2010, the OzAsia Festival has a Korean flavour yet a diverse range of Asian cultures are represented.

The Festival has a broad cultural reach and includes theatre, dance, music, film, visual arts, food and design culture. Key South Australian and national cultural organisations, performing arts groups, and flagship companies are encouraged to participate - especially in community-based events.
