Something on Saturday offers 18 weeks of fantastic entertainment for children aged 3-10 years and their families from 8 May to 4 September.

Every week of the season there is a paid performance (all tickets are only $10.50 per person per performance) with a different show each week - including music, dance, ballet, puppetry, circus, musical theatre, kids cabaret and much more.

Plus we also offer FREE Kids Corner Craft Workshops. You can come to the free workshops and get creative for 2 hours, or come and see a show plus join in the workshops before or after the show. It's your choice and no bookings are required.

You can buy tickets for Something on Saturday shows in two ways:
By purchasing a SUBSCRIPTION or
By purchasing GENERAL TICKETS

SUBSCRIBE & SAVE!

Book tickets to 4 or more shows in the season and you pay only $8.50 per ticket (with a handling fee of $6.60 per booking, not per ticket). Subscribers also get a priority booking period until Tuesday 6 April, so you get first access to tickets to the shows of your choice.

We can accept subscriptions after this date, subject to availability of tickets.

Pandora Pink & Mr Spin

The Funkees play all your favorite dance songs as they take you on an adventure to Funkeeland. With awesome original songs and pop covers, they're entertaining, fresh, dynamic and most of all explosive fun. Poppi, Roxee, Turbo and Disco D are all about grooving and moving to the beat, and they'll have you up on your feet in no time. Professor Dada Nii & the Damushi Ensemble

Experience the vibrant sounds and colours of West Africa - from bold, bright clothing and the chaos of market days, to fishing boats on turquoise seas. Professor Dada Nii and his ensemble, direct from Ghana, will take you there through their thrilling drumming rhythms, exquisite songs and vivid story telling. If you are looking for an experience with an international flavour, then this show is for you!

Daniel Larcombe's performance is packed with many well known children's songs, audience participation and music games. Theatre Bugs

Theatre Bugs present an original interpretation of Kenneth Grahame's classic tale. Follow the journey of Mole, Toad, Rat and Badger as they encounter fiendish weasels and loveable riverbank creatures in the Wild Wood. Fabio, Mario and Demilition B-Girl (aka Demi, So You Think You Can Dance Top 4, 2008) are the 'Superheroes of Kid-Hop'. This award-winning act returns to SOS after sold out shows around the country, including six at the Sydney Opera House! In the spirit of Babyrave (the successful 2007 Adelaide Fringe children's dance party), this is a disco for kids. DJ TR!P will be spinning funky disco music and mixing in the occasional classic nursery rhyme or children's action song to pump up the afternoon. With MC Astrid and a couple of dancers to spice things up, your kids will go off at their very own disco. All ages are encouraged to participate. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nup, it's Super Geek! Accompanying him is his guitar-wielding, riff-busting partner in scientific shenanigans - and the queen of rock - Rock Chick! Join this daring pair as they throw all sorts of strange stuff up and into the air to make it float, hover, soar, drift, glide, hang, fly... and occasionally fall. Prepare your eyeballs and eardrums for a spectacular scientific rock concert, which includes the remarkable - yet totally true - story of Kev, the levitating frog. Seriously! Oh, and there may even be some juggling.... if they can learn how to do it in time!

In a magical future, when The Last Zoo in the World is the only place to see many of earth's animals, a girl named Zia and the 'King of the World' travel together across land and sea in search for Nanuk, the polar bear. The King dreams of being able to hip-hop on ice without slipping and Nanuk is the only one who can help him! But how will they get all the way from Adelaide to the North Pole? And what if too much ice has melted and there are no Polar Bears left? With the questionable assistance of some animals they meet on their travels, Zia and the King have a very interesting journey and learn some important lessons along the way.

The Australian Classical Youth Ballet presents the 'ever most charming' fairytale story of Cinderella. Sue Harris Puppets

An SOS favourite, Sue and her puppets will help you take a fun look at bodies and how our differences make us special. How does a body fit together? What would we do if our body parts became muddled up? What are the human senses? Sue will explain the things our bodies can do and how we can care for them and each other, accompanied by lively music. Glove, rod, mouth, shadow and Bunraku-style puppets encourage language and audience participation. Fun and education, our favourite combination!

CAR PARKING

Open 24 hours, 7 days a week with early bird (in by 9.30am, out by 6.30pm), casual by the hour (until 6.30pm) performance/evening flat rate and weekend flat rate. Patrons can pre-book at BASS on 131 246, at least 24 hours prior to the performance to avoid missing out on a spot.

PARENTING ROOM

The Adelaide Festival Centre has a Parenting Room located off the Festival Theatre Foyer. There you will find a quiet and relaxing environment to feed or change your baby - including a state-of-the-art breastfeeding chair and ensuite. See Showbitz staff on the day if you are unsure of the location.

CHILD SUPERVISION

The Adelaide Festival Centre loves to see parents, children and families in and around our venues during Something on Saturday, but please be aware that you are

responsible for the supervision of any children who accompany you to in-theatre performances and foyer workshops. This helps promote a safe and secure

environment for our children.
