Buying Tickets

Booking Tickets

To book tickets through BASS Online, you'll first need to bring up details about the event you wish to book for. Use our search bar (at the top of every page) to locate an event, or follow one of the links from the home page. From there, follow the prompts to select a performance, number of tickets and type of tickets required.

Seats On Hold

When you check the availability of tickets for a performance, BASS Online will offer you what the ticket system considers to be the best available seats at the time of your enquiry. The ticket system puts the seats offered to you on hold (so no-one else can buy them) for a few minutes to allow you time to decide if you want them and to fill out the purchase form. This period may vary from the standard 5 minutes depending on the event being bought.

Credit Card Account Required

All tickets must be paid for at the time of booking using a valid credit account. We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, Bankcard, Diners Club, American Express and JCB accounts. Your transaction is authorised instantly using our automated credit card authorisation system. This is the same system we use for all tickets purchased over the telephone and for credit card transactions on counter sales. See our section on transaction security for more about how we protect the information supplied by you to us.

Your Own BASS Account

The first time you buy tickets from BASS Online you will need to fill out our secure form with name, address, and credit card details. When you purchase you will be given an account number. Next time you use BASS Online the procedure will be quicker and more secure if you choose to use your account number and email address as identifiers. If you do this you will not have to re-enter other information. You will have to enter your credit card details for every transaction.

Ticket Prices

There might be a range of prices indicated for a price category (eg Adult A Reserve) This is probably because there are different prices for performances on different days of the week or times of the day. Tickets might be cheaper early in the week (Monday or Tuesday) and earlier in the day (morning , matinee, or early evening performances).

We're sorry, but the complexity of these variations prevents us from displaying all the information on the event information page. You can find out how the prices vary by checking the availability of tickets for different performances.

There are some price categories that we are unable to offer through BASS Online, as they require appropriate identification to be shown at the time of purchase, information about these price types is available from all BASS Outlets and via BASS Dial N Charge, on 131 246 or 08 8400 2304 from outside South Australia.

How Do I Get My Tickets?

Pickup

Generally, you can collect your tickets from your nearest BASS outlet until close of business on the last working day prior to performance. The owner of the credit card used here must present that card (and proof of concession entitlement) at the outlet when collecting tickets. Just tell the outlet you wish to collect tickets that you have already purchased.

Uncollected tickets

If you can't collect your tickets before the event, we will have the tickets available at the venue, usually from one hour before the event. Just bring the credit card used for this purchase with you.

Collection procedures vary for football, outdoor and major events. Check the information on the Event Guide page, and please - if you're not sure, ask. Proof of any concession entitlement may be required for ticket collection or to enter the venue.
