A double-bill by Ina Christel Johannessen and Garry Stewart

World Premiere
Australia/Norway

In an extraordinary double bill from two highly acclaimed choreographers, Ina Christel Johannessen and Garry Stewart, Australian Dance Theatre (ADT) dancers traverse the faraway corners of the Arctic Circle and Antarctica.

From Norwegian choreographer Johannessen, North explores the intimate and powerful exchange that plays out between humans and their environment. Stewart’s South depicts Sir Douglas Mawson’s fateful and dramatic journey to Antarctica in 1913 as an allegory for our current predicament in the era of rapid global warming.
